A sermon entitled "Mistaken Identity" was preached by Mark Henderson on May 16, 2004 in which he suggested a new logo for the congregation: "Family of GOD at Quail Springs". In a meeting on June 13, 2004 the new logo was discussed. Some felt it was an attempt to establish a new identity that would move the congregation farther away from other churches of Christ. Several families left because of the new logo.
